What will we do?
Join us for a work project team of up to 14 people. We will be working in Honduras alongside of the community to assist in building latrines. When the team arrives, the locals will have already chosen a spot for the latrine, dug a hole and begun prep work. The team will then work alongside the locals with the available supplies to pour a concrete floor, build walls and a roof. Latrines help improve health and sanitation of the community by keeping waste away from drinking water and other potential contact points.
Organization: Locally we are partnering with Medical Teams International. In Honduras our partner is Proyecto Aldea Global based in Tegucigalpa.
Want to go? Please email Jenn Aaro to be put on the information list for the trip.

For the past several years, the annual FamilyLife “Weekend to Remember” marriage conference has offered over a million people an opportunity to getaway, reconnect, and experience a life changing weekend together. Spending a weekend in a relaxed hotel setting, free from the distractions of everyday life, couples have the needed time to focus on what matters most.
If you’re dating, engaged, or single this is an excellent opportunity to learn about marriage and grow as an individual. To help process all the information and have a little fun, singles from EastLake will have the opportunity to gather as a group for discussions and a game night.
For more information, check out these resources:
Contact Chris for more conference information and details for the group registration discount. You must complete your registration 18 days prior to the conference to receive the group discounts, but please register as early as possible as the resort will fill all available rooms well before this event (the resort was filled six weeks before the conference last year).
