Life always seems at its fullest when serving others is a priority above serving ourselves. There is an internal sense of care and compassion that, when engaged in the act of serving or helping others, life's cup is fuller when we are not acting and engaging just ourselves or for just our own benefit. Jesus's actions were always about looking out for others, watching for opportunities to help or bless them. This same thought or principle translates to giving, in the hope that other's lives will be made more full, more aware, more cared for and more meaningful. Additionally, the human frailty and struggle that we are not good enough, worthy enough to be of value to others, and to be in a position to help or nurture others always attempts to prevent us from giving away what we have, but our God has always called the weak, the unchosen, the castaway to be the light and salt to others.
